The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team program is designed for intact teams and work groups. We recommend this for teams who have been together a minimum of 6-8 weeks.

For teams that are fluid or change often Corexcel has released Five Behaviors: Personal Development. This program allows individuals to compare themselves to other individuals and use their assessment with various teams.

For Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, some teams might schedule sessions to run over a year. Some will finish in a few weeks. But it's definitely worth the investment of time. We believe the program is most effective if it is implemented over a period of time so that the concepts can be digested and reflected upon. We recommend planning this in 3 days over a 6 week period or 6 half day sessions over 12 weeks. Having time in between modules allows teams to reflect back on the previous work, focus on 1-2 behaviors at a time and make positive, sustainable progress. If you are looking for something quick often just running through the Trust section will pay off in the short term.

Five Behaviors: Personal Development training sessions are recommended as half-day programs with a focus on helping individuals become better teammates.

This is not necessary but highly recommended for participants. We do recommend that the facilitator read the book. The book is highly respected and easy to read.

No, a certification is not required to administer the program. Everything you need to present a successful program is included in the facilitation kit.

However, a Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Teamâ„¢ Accreditation is available for those who wish to become an Accredited Facilitator.

We recommend that an outside facilitator conduct the workshops. Bringing in someone outside your group will make it much easier for you to participate as a member of your team. The discussions will be much more comfortable with an objective party to facilitate them.
Facilitator kits are available for both the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team and Five Behaviors: Personal Development programs. The facilitator kits contain everything needed to present a successful workshop. It includes: a leader's guide you can follow, the official (and highly customizable) slide deck, video segments to accompany each module, handouts and suggested exercises, brochures, research documentation, explanatory podcasts from the director of R&D and more.
A minimum of three team members are needed for creating a Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team assessment. That is also the same number needed before you can generate a report. We do not suggest running a report until all team members have completed the assessment.

Five Behaviors: Personal Development assessments can be taken individually, with comparison and facilitator reports able to be generated once two or more participants have completed the assessment.
